According to GlobalData, Sierra Leone is the world’s eighth-largest producer of diamonds in 2022, with output up by 7% on 2021. Over the five years to 2021, production from Sierra Leone increased by a CAGR of 31% and is expected to rise by a CAGR of 2% between 2022 and 2026.
the Republic of Liberia
Liberia’s main mineral products are gold, diamonds and iron ore. It is estimated that the country holds reserves ranging from between two to five billion metric tons of iron ore and three million ounces of gold.
